So the story is, we're out...
I decided to take it upon myself to research the last time England won a penalty shoot-out.
It took me back to 1996. 16 Years ago since we last won a shoot-out!?
People will preach 'yeah well it's all about luck at shoot-outs', but if you're sole purpose in life was to play football, and you're in a game which has the possibility to go to shoot outs, you must practice them, surely?!
But then again, this time around you cannot blame anyone, which brings me to the next point of other ways to settle a game rather than a penalty shoot-out.
Sepp Blatter himself has put ideas such as Never-Ending Extra Time, or ADG (Attacker vs Defender and Goalkeeper, with 35 seconds to score a goal)
These seem just as pointless which question whether a replay could be brought into the equation?
But then again, what if its still a draw after another replay, and another?!
This will become more and more present after the introduction of Goal Line Technology.
Anyway i leave you with some heartbreak.
